need your thoughts...Bean is not feeling well!!

Sorry if this gets kinda long, but I am not sure what is going on with her. On Friday am she threw up 8 times. She seemed to be better in the afternoon-not throwing up, playing going outside, drinking and I think she ate her supper (TOTW buffalo/venison). Then at about 9:30am and until about 4:30am throwing up every 2hours throughout the night. Saturday she didn't eat anything, but would drink water and no vomiting. Sunday threw up once and ate rice/hamburger. This morning I tried to get her to eat more rice/hamburger and she didn't want anything to do with it. I gave her some pedialyte with a syringe because she wouldn't drink it-but will still drink water. I hand fed her some other dog food (Natural balance organic chicken) and she ate about 1/2 handful of that.
Now about 2 hrs later my hubby just called and she vomitted again!!!
She has been pooping normal poo's...
Any thoughts...I am calling the vet today and taking her in.
Sorry this got alittle long, but any suggestions would be helpful!!

I would take her in ASAP

she could have something serious that needs to be tended to right away. May be a partial bowel obstruction...of some degree. I would not feed her anything more until the vet checks her out.

Poor Bean

Keep us posted. Hope all is well soon. Otto threw up yesterday (which is uncommon) and made me think of you and Bean.

Kim, I would take her in as soon as possible...

this is day four and she needs something to calm her stomach down. Pancreatitis and any number of things can cause vomiting. Hope it turns out to be just a bug.

Is she retching to vomit or is food shooting out of her mouth?

I have been thru what you described my boy has been what I thought was vomitting and it happens alot in the middle of the night from 1am to 430am. When he vomits it's like projectile, semi digested food just shoots out. If this is what your bully is doing then it is regurgitating not vomitting. When you take her to the vet tell the vet this so they know what meds to give. Becuz other than what you described is she acting normal and no fever? If that is the case she might have a reflux issue, hiatal hernia due to an elongated palate and an endoscopy will be able to see this but a barium xrays might also pick up the mobility of food passing thru. An xray and ultrasound will not pick up so don't waste your money on these tests and ask for a barium xray and go on from there. She also needs sucrafate to coat her esophagus so it won't be inflamed. My boy was sent home with cerenia becuz I thought he was vomitting and the vets did not picked up the right terminology when I described so I was sent home with the wrong meds and delayed him getting the right meds made his esephagus really inflamed. Right now mine is on 3 meds and on royal canin veterinary diet lowfat20 which is easy to digest. I hope your baby feels better .
