had another sono today and discovered one of the pups has died in utero. they have put mom on antibiotics and will repeat sono Wed. Has anyone else gone through this and the other pups survived? I am devastated. Any comments/advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

i doubt it was anything you did or could have done to prevent...

sometimes it just happens. i have a friend who's girl aborted a pup in her dining room and she was at like day 57. she tried to pop the sack but it was a mummy pup....she rushed her to the vet and they pulled out 6 more dead puppies (all rotting) and 2 others. they never revived the little girl but did get the boy going and he died on day 4..... it is in Gods hands at this point. i will keep you both in my prayers.....

thank Chris..

she's scheduled for C-section 9/11. He put her on abx, said he hoped we had caught it in time, and hoped nothing grew on the culture he did, but other than that it's a wait and see. I'm just confused if it was something I might have found earlier, but I just can't imagine how....
Any thoughts?

how far along is she?

i have had mummies in a litter and had pups survive but i think it will depend on how far along she is and if the infection will get to the other pups and affect them or cause her to abort the whole litter.... what did your vet have to say? they should have given some feedback. hoping things will be ok for you and your girl/babes.....
