Need Advice for a friend

My dear friend and neighbor just found out some horrible news. His 6 year old had an MRI today and a brain tumor was found. On top of that he has 2 crushed discs near his neck. What would you all do? Have the surgery to correct the disc problem? The specialist wants to operate right away to fix the disc issue, but he could not say how long he would survive with the brain tumor. It could be months or even years.I really feel for him and want to lend my support. I would like to hear from any of you with a similar experience so I can pass on some useful information. Thank you all for listening.

Re: What type of Brain Tumor?

The tumor is in the pitutary gland. I think it is called Macroadenoma. The reason for the MRI was because the dog would become unbalanced and bump into things. Also, he was having very bad pain and thought it was a pinched nerve. Turns out he has two ruptured discs near his neck

What type of Brain Tumor?

Glioblastiforma is about 6 weeks from symptom to end

Several other types are slower, but the end result is not good. they are generally inoperable.

Why was the dog getting an MRI?
