Limping bully

Rufus is a 4 year old english bully, about 45 lbs. Starting about two weeks ago he has been limping on his back right leg. It comes and goes, always worse on the weekend when he is up and about a lot. I havent brought him to the vet because nothing is bulging and he lets us touch and message the entire hip/leg/ankle area without problems. He doesnt wince with pain or even flinch, I am even questioning if he might have some kind of splinter on his foot. You can see him shift his weight off of it when eating, drinking, etc, but when he gets playful he forgets about it and is fine. I have tried to keep him off of it, and no jumping (off and on the couch), I just dont know if I should bring him to the vet at this point. Is there anything they could do that I cant do at home? Thoughts?

Not luxating patella it is likely to be his cruciate ligament

crate rest for 10 days then if no better take him to the vet because it is likely he will need an operation to fix it. Good luck.

could be luxating patella, if it's been a few weeks

and he is still limping or hopping then bring to your vet.

He forgets when he is playing like maybe a human would when they are distracted happy.gif
