Hi-- My bully, Rocco, keeps licking his front paws. . I have attempted to clean with a Vinegar solution, and dusted with gold bond but it does not seem to help. He is 1.5 years old, eats natural balance sweet potato and Venison. I have a vet appointment next Tuesday for him, but until then, does anyone have any good solutions to help comfort him? Thank you.
Yes
I just started reading this post so thought I would also answer. My girl has recently started eating Natural Balance Sweet Potato and fish. She never had allergies but after starting this she started biting her feet and scratching her face terrible. I changed from Nutro Max mini chunks because she was getting tear stains and her eyes started watering a lot. She is 1 1/2 years old and never had this problem. I am going crazy trying to find the right food for her. Any help would be wonderful.
Is it rust colored between the toes?
Does it smell like fritos?
Naughty or Nice? NAUGHTY!

Re: Hi Steve
Thanks but he has not went near any sort of ice melting product, salt, calcium chloride, etc. I should of been more specific.
Hi Steve
I made the mistake of using a chemical ice melt and Josie went ballistic when she stepped in it, i the the bag away. It may not be "salt" that is being used to melt the ice. Josie would keep lifting her feet and i picked her big self up and stuck all four feet in the sink and washed them off. J & T
Re: JUST wander if he is getting cold feet???
He is inside and warm. We live in NYC and he has also not walked on any salted ground surfaces.
JUST wander if he is getting cold feet???
just curious if this is after the bully is outside for any length of time?
we are feeding her Primal Raw
you can check this medical forum for my Raw Diet Diary posts. The difference in her coat is amazing, and no more face scratchng, paw licking, and yeasty smell.

Re: Audrey started doing this too a few months ago
What are you feeding her now? Because I had him on Natural Balance which is grain free.
Audrey started doing this too a few months ago
It was a few months after she started scratching her face and I didn't connect the 2. We switched her to a grain free diet and she stopped licking her paws and scratching her face.
