Submitted by Kel1h2k on April 20, 2010 - 11:23pmThere are so many things suggested for keeping a bulldogs nose "soft" and not dry or scaly. I wanted to share my favorite... chapstick. I use the plain original formula. As it is in stick form, it is easy to apply and since it can go on my mouth, I have no problems using it on Chloe's nose :0) At first she would run and "wipe" it on anything available (carpet, bedspread, sofa... little stinker!) but now, when she sees me get it out of her "makeup bag" LOL, she just sits patiently waiting for her "treatment".

Very good idea. Also vitamin E from a capsule...
...works well. We prick a vitamin E capsule with a pin then squeeze the oil out. Then we rub the oil on Roxy's nose and paw pads.

But he HATES me to put it on! So, I goop it on my lips, and smooch him on the nose (then quickly rub it in!)! lol

What a great idea...
I just bought some "hoof cream" from WalMart the other day. Mocha hates it and starts sneezing and freaking out when I put it on. Will be trying chapstick for sure! Thanks for the tip!
