Hi folks,
Quick question regarding anal glands. I had Dixie's anal glands cleaned Thursday, and she scooting again. The vet's assistant told me that she may have just slight irritation. Instructed me to use neosporin? Does that sound correct?

I'd start with a warm bath...
be sure that the water is warm but not hot, as this area (especially if irritated) is sensitive, much as the inside of the mouth might be)and that may provide some relief. After bath, you can apply some Neosporin ointment...shouldn't be a concern unless she sits on the couch and leaves a greasy spot!
