is it safe to give dogs human lutein pills for eye health?

some dogs dont do well on the fish
Flax is in many dog foods too.
I have all my dogs on Flax, they are doing very will nice coats. Better then when on salmon oil

just be careful that the fish oil is wild vs hatchery
as the hatchery is very high in metals or mercury which is not good for the dogs.

is the flax good because of the omega 3 in it?
I recently read, and I will look to see if I can find it, that the omega 3's in flax oil is in a different form than that in fish oil, is harder for a dog to absorb, and they get the most benefits from the fish oil form.

You can give fish oil=Omega 3 oil capsule
and they come in various strengths. Hubby's optometrist told him the very best one is "Dry Eye Omega Benefits", www.omegaeyehealth.com
you can give flax seed
In either pill or powder. Flax is good for eye health
