We had just spent all day at the dog park having a good ole time. And Dozer was stretched out at my feet under my computer desk. I heard him breathing funny(kinda ragged) and i looked down and he had this fine shake to his head and neck, it was very subtle but i knew it wasn't right. I called his name a few times and got no response and he was awake at the time. Finally i reached down and touched his back gently and he startled and jumped up and ran across the room like he had been hit with his head low and slumped as he ran. Then after about 1 minute he was fine, he didn't have any re-occurences the rest of the night and he seems fine this morning, does this sound like head shakes to you or something else?
I believe it is low carbs that make them have head shakes....
not enough carbs in the diet. If it happens again, give a tablespoon of Karo syrup, peanut butter, or anything sugary (like table sugar!) and he will be ok. I would also consider changing foods....Sophia had head shakes on TOTW so we switched to NB Fish and Potato and she hasn't had one since.
