How's Josie feeling this morning?

Hope she had a restful night.
If she continues to vomit (probably a leftover from the anesthesia), don't hesitate to call your vet to get her some meds. But, I hope she doesn't need it!

hmmmmm

that would certainly be the route to go. she just threw her yogurt up with the meds in it last night and then i just put it way back on her tongue and held her head up and she swallowed it, ohhhhh mean Mommy. poor little wiggle butt.

Thanks for asking

Josie is sleeping right now, actually since she got up this morning. she was very unsettled last night, she threw up 3 times. she is sleeping here on the sofa next to me, she had a couple of bites of chicken and has kept it down. she hates taking her meds, but i know what is best for her. she would not sleep on the bed last night, so i took some extra pillows and made a little horseshoe for her and filled it with blankets. she finally nodded off about midnight and slept most of the night until 0730. she has had a couple of accidents, she wee wee'd on the bathroom rug (which has a rubber backing, smart girl)and when she threw up i had a hospital pan for her so she doesn't feel like she did something wrong by not going outside. i will let her sleep as much as she wants, and give her her meds when she wakes up. i sure appreciate everyones concern, and thanks for keeping her in your thoughts. I have been thinking of her too

What about liquid meds? My 2nd Mom works for a vet and she said they send their spays home with a syring of liquid meds. I am going to ask my vet about that.

SO GLAD to hear she's feeling better!

I am thinking we may want to put Audrey in her crate that first night, to give her her own space. I am so glad your baby girl feels better! Give her a luvin from me and Puds!(Audrey is Puddin and Puds almost as much as she is Audrey!)

Josie feels better

she had some scrambled egg and cheese, then later some cannelini beans. she drank some water and went out to wee wee and a little pooper. she is feeling a lot better. i gave her her meds and she was good with those as well. I was very concerned last night but i can see the improvement already. Interesting enough, once i made her own bed, and turned off the TV last night she settled down. not too different tghan us when we feel like crap. Keep me posted with Audrey. J & T

definitely ask for the liquid meds

I called my vet this am to make sure Audrey gets them Mon and he said that's all they give for surgery. If her tummy is still upset might be worth it to get her some. Poor baby! I hope she feels better soon!
