I am calling our vet in the morning but Oliver has had hives for over a week now. We are giving him 1.5 benadryl with each meal. I gave him a bath in chlorihexiderm shampoo. We are pretty sure he was stung by a bee. They are not as big as they were but now they are smaller and there seems to be a few more of them. They are only on his back and side. He is not itching them or anything but is there anything else we can do????
Rhiann is correct...
They can sometimes take forever to go away!
You could ask your vet to prescribe another antihistamine - some dogs are refractory to benadryl.

they may give him steroid shot
to help or some pred..
but sometimes they take about a week or two to go away...especially the bad cases..
