High alk phos

You may have forgotten about my story. I lost George to BLOAT. He was only two years old and it was awful.. Gracie (his liter mate and sister) and I were so sad, so...we decided to get Jack...all white with a brown ear, (Graice and George were all white) Jack just like the ole Jack Sparrow... is a handfull, funny and so sweet..but aren't they all at four months.

Shortly after I lost George, Graice got so lethargic and I assumed it was missing her brother, well...long story short.
She was to eye surgery and the labs came back just awful...well, beside the thyroid level being down...her alk phos level was really high...so of course one starts ruling out cancers...besides just the lose of George, I assumed it was a genetic problem of some sort.

Her levels have been checked twice and are back into a normal range. It was due to a strong reaction to steroids, secondary to her eye being so inflamed. I have increased her thyroid meds twice and she has lost 2 pounds and actually much more playful...still loves to sleep and does she ever snore....

Jack of course is shot from a cannon...and when they play, I know I made the right decision to get him...
George will always be with us, infact, I pulled out some old toys and you could see Gracie smelling his scent....but Jack is good for both of us! Getting the thyroid back to a normal level is something that has changed her activiy and life for the better....

So, if you notice your pup is not as energetic and gaining weight, a thyroid level is something that can save much worry...

Thank you all for all your kindness when I was asking so many quesions.......

Best,
Anne
