Hello
Can a elongated soft palate cause my bully to puke up his food from the day before ?
He will be stitting there then just puke water and food all over. One day he did it 15 times. But his breathing is not to bad.I mean he snores but nothing to bad.
Some times he will just gag and thats all. So what else could be causing this ? I feal so bad for him =[
Thanks for any info =]
I agree
With Ela1ne - especially since my boy has required surgery for obstruction. His symptoms were very similar to what you're describing. The foreign object didn't show on Xray, and was indicated by a "high degree of suspicion" on the barium study. Turned out it was acting like a valve (partially open at times, closed at others). When it finally wedged and closed, the blood supply was compromised and he needed to have a section of his bowel resected.

I wouldn't be surprised if vet ordered a barium x-ray series
for this food path, esophagus thru to stomach.

There is obviously an issue but I wouldn't think a palette
problem. I would take him to the vet and get them to check his oesophogus (spelling) and throat area.

My pup does this too
He just randomly gags or throws up.
