Help, need sub for Neo-Predef w/Tetracaine Powder!

My name is Butcher and I'm a 2 1/2 yr. old. This week they found a foul odor coming from my backside. After a good cleaning; they found some swelling and skin irritation. I went to the vet and found No infection. He ordered some of the afore mentioned powder. Today the office called and said it's no longer available. Does anyone know of a similar product? Thank you, Butch and his Grandma (Gm)

I always have several bottles of this stuff around at all times. I prefer it so much better than gold bond, but of course much more pricey....I hope they haven't quite manufacturing or are having problems as I love this stuff.

Yes...cornstarch is absorbant...doesn't do anything

to retard yeast growth or anything of that sort, but it will dry out a moist area...I've used it in combo with oral medication for success.

I appreciate the suggestions. I used the Regular Original Goldbond Medicated Powder. Is there any other kind? I am using Preparation H wipes after cleaning with Aloe wipes. The vet sent some powder home and it is working. We just can't order anymore. Butch and Gm

I've never tried cornstarch. Never heard that one before, actually. Have you used it successfully? Butch and Gm

you can also use witch hazel let it dry

you might not need anypowder with the witch hazel.

What kind of goldbond did you try?


Cornstarch is a good alt. You can also try some aveno powder.

A problem with Goldbond

Gm tried Goldbond between my face wrinkles; when I was younger. My wrinkles became worse and had to get meds from my vet. They believe I'm intolerent to Goldbond powder. Thanks for responding. Any other suggestions? Butch and Gm
