Gus scared the crap out of me yesterday...what caues....

excessive drooling in a bulldog.
Gus was drooling and puddling all over the house yesterday.
his chest was soaked
I noticed his feet looked red and gave him a benedryl
he is fine this am. but what causes the drooling..so bad.
it was nonstop..until the benedryl took effect.

I dunno Cathy.it was scary though for sure..

HE just would not stop..
you could see it just running out of his mouth
and he is not my drooler ever..
I think an upset tummy is what must have happened to Gus
will keep the idea of stinkbugs on my list of things though too
thanks for your imput

that is great to know.....

thanks..he did get sick to his stomach too yesterday
I am glad that the scare is over this am.
I was pretty upset last night..just spent the whole time watching him..
and that was it..

I am glad that you posted..thanks for the info

Audrey has done this a few times

when she 'tastes' a stinkbug. You'd think once would be enough, but apparantely she forgot and had to try one more time. They come in the house when it gets cold out and she always seems to find them.

my experience

My girl Mocha used to drool excessively when she had an upset tummy and wasn't feeling well.

I dropped everything and just watched him

Excessive drooling can be caused by several things. The most common causes are nausea, pain, or something stuck in the teeth/mouth.

Glad Gus is better today.
