When Jazzy wakes up she really seems to be breathing really heavily as if she had just been playing. Should I be alarmed at this? She does usually get better in a bit. Not sure if I should be worried, even though I am. THanks!

Is actually around 65 degrees (I think I read that someplace in my PetCare technician's manual or the American Boarding Kennel manual?). Of course, some dogs like it a tad warmer or cooler.

We usually keep it in the low 70s for them...she usually sleeps on top of the blankets, but right up against us and at lunch the room is sometimes a bit warm. thanks for the idea!

keep it in the house Amy? Does she sleep under any blankets? Could it be just that she's hot? Onslow wakes up like that after he's been under the covers...........just a thought. Smooches to Jazzy.

I think her weight is ok for her size...might be a bit overweight. When she sleeps she seems to breath ok. I did not think of her legs, she had ccl surgery earlier this year and maybe it is stiff when she first gets up.
wow..that is cool
but I can for sure see that would be about the right temp for a bully
I keep the house about 72 at night and I know the bullies can pant..
I am going to do the same thing
turn back the temps
and wear a few more sweaters
we keep our house at 62 at night
and 66 during the day.
Cathy
when she first came home
Wow, I did not know that.
I guess I will try to lower the temps.....and wear some sweatshirts around that house LOL!!
Thanks Rotti!

Hooch gets too hot if sleeping next to us and will wake up
panting, then move away to cool off.

how does she breath when she sleeps?
could she perhaps have stiff or soar legs when getting up after a long rest?
I hope everything is fine.
