Gloucosomine supplements

Sarge will be 6 in February and I would like to know which Gloucosomine supplement that you recommend.
Thanks, Happy New Year!

Great information

Would be interested in the updates on the liquid gloucosomine. Also we had read about the one that has the green lipped mussel in it. That may be for more arthritic or senior pups, though.

Omega supplement

Along with the Gloucosomine, does anyone use an omega supplement?

gabby is trying the liquid synflex glucosamine

gabby, our 12 yr old kelpie, is trying out this new stuff.. supposedly the liquid stuff is suppose to get more of the glucosamine into their system as opposed to the pills... but then again I may be just a sucker for marketing... the price was comparable to the pills so I thought i would give it a try! so far so good, i will update everyone if it preforms any miracles!

We give Dozer the basic ones from petsmart.

They cost more than the Wal-mart brand but we buy them in 4 month batches. It's like 20$ for a 120 tablets and i think it has 400mg Glucosamine and 500mg Chondroitan we have had him on this since he was a pup. We just wanted to keep his joints safe.

do you have to worry about corn starch

in some of the supplements if your dog is allergic to grains? I know Audrey gets itchy if she eats corn chips, would corn starch have the same effect?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply -- we are just looking at all the brands and ingredients.
That really helps them as they get older, I think.

We buy the Costco brand...

cheaper than most. You can also get it at Walmart.
