are a lot harder than I ever thought! Last night my daughter was giving a very HAPPY Audrey potroast and veggies, which really wouldn't have been a problem because what we are eliminating is grains, but the flavoring was made with soy proteins and wheat gluten! UGGGGG! She thought she was doing so good beacuse she didn't give her any bread and Audrey was very pleased herself. It was also the first night of 100% new food, and she threw up, and Bridget's pathetic tail stump is oozing blood all over and the poor dog can't really walk. Sometimes I just want to give up

we are going to start by trying TOTW salmon
I can buy it locally and it is grain free. If that doesn't work, I really think we are going to swith to raw

Have u tried???
EarthBorn Holistic?? They have a great grain free formula
okay how about
my african gray trying to sound like the quail in the back yard? he does okay with the wild bird call but he finishes it off with "oh such a good boy." and then claps for himself.
LOL. No need to be sorry
the thought of instant coffe makes me gag too. ;-} I am a hot/black coffee drinker.

eeeek, sorry.
I hate starbucks
they burn their beans! coffee does sound good though, even though I've alrady had one pot. Watching Audrey soak up the sunshine by the dooor is helping too! She has never done that before but she's found a nice warm spot and she's snoring away.

Starbucks has instant coffee now......
regular and decaf if you are a starbucks fan. sometimes just a cup of coffee and watch out the window helps. birds might be in the yard, or a goofy neighbor, tee hee
Thanks, I needed that
my husband is traveling this week so I'm all by myself trying to take care of 2 dogs that just had surgery and my pregnant daughter that has appointments with specialists this week too. Oh and my husbands %^%$%*& fish that I HATE taking care of. I never watch tv so my computer is my escape. I like to read too but can't even focus on what I'm reading lately. The good news is my grandson is FINE!!! That was such a huge relief to all of us.

I have switched her to TOTW salmon
because that seems to be the biggest change from what she was eating before. She has had just about every protein there is, so trying to do a food trial with one she hasn't had is not possible. Salmon is the only thing that she really hasn't eaten, she's just had fish oil. I though we'd first eliminate all grains to see if that helps. If it's not the grains it's going to be real hard to figure out what it is....

hey Cathy
sometimes it just seems overwhelming, sometimes it just feels good to have a good cry. you are doing everything right, your daughter has probably learned her lesson as well. your little tailless girl probabaly needs more attention right now and rightfully so. she will get better, she is just older and needs more time but you are really doing everything right. go and take few minutes just for YOU and things will come back around into perspective. we always do for everyone else and we forget we need love and care as well. indulge yoruself in whatever makes you happy for awhilel and dont feel guilty. and Josie sends a big kiss.
Hang in there
I'm feeling your frustration (having been there, myself).
One thing you may want to do, is stop everything except the dog food. They do sell grain free dog treats, so she can get something. But, till you know exactly what's setting her off, you have to simplify simplify. Even some of the grain frees have multiple protein sources (and, ideally, you want only one), so double check your label. Not giving her anything else is usually harder on the people than the dog! lol

eeek i'm sorry to hear....

I am just changing over to Evo Grain free, poops are kind of tar like and had a mess to clean up today lol.
