so there is always alot of talk about what to feed a btich after having her pups. I have done home cooking and have been adding it to Mias kibble, as well as supplimented with Ensure for the first 3 days.
she is tired on ensure now and refuses to drink anymore...
She is eating nutra nugget, higher protein food in lamb and rice flavor. i make her steamed veggies, chicken, give her yogurt, boiled egss, etc...

But i kep hearing how she should be on a puppy food..my question is this..
why a puppy food? if you wouldnt give your puppies puppy food then why would you give your bitch puppy food? Most of us goahead and start pups on a high quality food. if your already feeding your bitch that the nis it really necessary to give puppy food?

I am going to have to figure something out because she isnt wanting her kibble much right now and not eatingas she needs to...need to keep milk production going and getting desperate for something other than home cooking..the gas is killing me!

also..she has developed horrible ear infections with hot spots on the outsides of them. ithink its from laying under the heat lamp...any suggestions on how to battle this holistically. Most ear meds contain a steroid so i cant give them..
