eyelash growing on eyelid

So the other day I noticed spanky was squinting his eye bad and it was watering excessively, He had entropion surgery about 5 months ago and he's been great since. I looked in his eye to see if there was anything in it and I didn't see anything, I looked at his eyelid and there is 1 little lash growing inward that is rubbing against his eye. Should I take him to the vet and have it removed or should I try plucking it myself. I'm on a tight budget over here and I'm trying to save all the money I can. I also have some antibiotic eyedrops left w/ out the steroids should I use this just in case he does have an ulcer? Thanks for the advice!

I went to my Jewler and got these glasses he uses it really helps removing these.

If you can pluck it yourself, go ahead
But, I think he really needs to be seen by a Vet. If there us one lash, there are probably more that you can't see.
