Eye Issues

Hello I have looked this up in past health forums and have not been able to find any answers.
Butcher is 9 months old. He has a re-occuring inflamed eye. Not cherry eye....because it goes away on its own. It just "puffs" up on the bottom lid and then goes away in an hour or two. Most timesit will happen when he gets overheated or is playing or chewing agressively. It does not tear excessively nor does it seem to hurt him. It just simply puffs up.
Has anyone else experienced this? In my first opinion I would say allergy alert, but, He has no other symtoms of allergies etc.

Strange? Ill try to get a picture of it and post it next time it Adminses.

Thank you....all your help is appreciated.

Re: Jenn, denial has happened

We're been through the cherry eye that needed surgery before but we have also been through the cherry eye that the vet recommended not doing anything with either. Our Maddie started with the cherry eye before she was a year old and it would pop out on occasion but the vet showed us how to pop it back into place again. There were times it would pop out and after an hour it would be back into place itself again too. It was occassional that it would pop out and when it did we just put it back into place again or wait and see if it went back down on its own. She has never had surgery to repair it and she's going to be eight this year and it hasn't been out in nearly two years.

If the vet recommended doing it we would have had it done without hesitation but for some reason our vet felt that surgery wasn't needed and said he felt this would settle in place itself and we may never see it happen again after awhile - which is exactly what happened with Maddie.

Jenn, denial has happened

to all of us!

i was in denial when (years ago) I got Gracie out of the front of the truck and she ran across some ice and started limping....sheeeeeeeeesh! In my heart I knew it was and ACL repair on the horizon, so off to the vet. Yes, it was true!

so many times i have been asked by people with differet breeds about `crating`to have a ruptured ACL heal...`don`t waste your time, i have never seen one heal with crating`, if it`s torn, it`s torn``

You are a very good little mamma...

Sounds suspiciously like Cherry eye,

sometimes they do that. It may amount to nothing as he ages or it may get worse and need correction. I know you said it wasn`t that, but...
