I have a feeling George may have it, but I want to see what it looks like on other bullies. I looked online and I could only find severe cases in which most of their hair is missing!

It's obviously mild compared to some of the other pics, but he is def. missing some hair. Do you give him the 6mg of Melatonin once a day? At once? Thank you soooo much!

I've been told there is some thought that this type of alopecia is caused or at least worsened by low light, thus the term seasonal. Make sure your dog gets as much sunshine as possible during winter. I moved some dogs from the house to a kennel a few years ago. The kennel is as nice as a house but the lighting was probably less. I had thinning of hair occur on one dog and was afraid that was what was happening. I began to make sure she was out in the sun more often and hair regrew, has never had the problem again.

He has a large spot on one side, and a couple smaller ones on the other. He's (unfortunately) doesn't want to grow back, he's been on melatonin for a year+ now. Some hair did grow back last summer after he blew his coat and it is filling in around the edges. Hopefully it will grow back in time, but even if it doesn't, the spots don't irritate him at all (and I get to put him in cute coats/sweaters for the winter). The most annoying part is explaining it to others.. LOL.
Julie had SFA but it lasted almost 5 years. She is now on a TV c

Big spot on right side:
Two smaller spots on left side
Mavie has SFA, let me peek around and see if I have any pictures
No picture but....
Maizy had a small spot one year. It was just a small area on her side that was bald and the skin turned black.
