Clovis has an almost golf ball sized lump at the end of her incision

the incision is about 4 or 5 inches long. At the top end, a lump appeared this morning that is somewhere between the size of a walnut and a golf ball. It wasn't there Friday night or Saturday night. Does anyone know what may cause that? I tried to take a photo but of course that was the precise moment when the battery went out. I'll try to get one later today.

On the brighter side, her appetite returned big time this morning and she is much more playful too.

Thanks.

could it be

a seroma? Some times we get this with our patients after sx, & we have to drain it? A seroma is fuild with clear serous liquid, which just needs to be drained with a syringe. does it feel hard or soft? like fuild with liquid? or is it more like a Knot?

Marcela

Probably a seroma...needs to be drained...

and it may respond to a simple draining with a large syringe at the vet's office...which will help it heal quicker.
