Nugget is our 4 month old sweetie...She woke up this morning with what I suspect is cherry eye..in her right eye...we are seeing our vet monday and asking for a referral to an opthamologist...I am wondering
1. what you guys think about the conjunctival mucous pocket procedure?
2. Should we wait until she is old enough to be spayed so that we can do both procedures at once?
3. Should we be doing anything right now before we see the vet on monday? we are doing GenTeal eye drops 3x/day- it does not seem to be bothering her so I don't want to draw attention to it if don't need to!
Thank you in advance for any advice- my first post but we love this site:)
I have five bulldogs and three shar-pei
five out of the eight have had cherry eye surgery. My opthamologist recommends the pocket procedure. No dry eye and no more problems with theirs. If it does come back out he puts in back free.
