Can you see the bald spot?

Recently my husband and i noticed dozer has a thinning spot on his ribcage where he used to have more hair. The skin doesnt appear to be irritated or anything, just losing hair in this spot and you can see his freckles underneath. What could be going on? We havent changed his food or anything and other wise he acts fine.

Thanks guys..

I actually have some melatonin at home, my husband uses it as a sleep aid sometimes since we work nights. I looked up some old posts and i will dose him according to that. Thanks again.

It looks like...

seasonal flank alopecia, very common. Some people recommend giving Melatonin and I used to use Lipiderm (available at petsmart). It pretty much will go away by itself after a while and usually shows up about the same time each year.

There's a lot written in the past about SFA...

check the SEARCH option at the top of the page, and type in Seasonal Flank Alopecia for recent discussions regarding this phenomena...saves some repeating. happy.gif
