Can 5 week old puppy take Doxycycline??

Puppy on my below post is not getting better on Amoxi drops(snot getting thicker and while she is eating and she is not lethargic; she is a little off). I have clavamox 62.5, doxycycline 50 mg, keflex, tetracycline, metronizadole and injectible penne ageneous(penne G). So have small arsenal, just not sure what a 5 week old puppy can take. My vet will want her in his office and won't advise dosage without seeing the pup. I don't see the point of taking her in-exposing other animals and then exposing her to other things to make matters worse. She is on mucinex cold for kids also. I just started the vaporizer. Private emails would be appreciated if you don't want to advise meds/dosage on phone. Thanks!!

To those who understand no explanation is needed. To those who don't no explanation is possible.

di-trim

di-trim--generic is trimethoprim + sulfadiazine while septa and also bactrim are both trimethoprim + sulfamethoxazole so they are not exactly the same.. a combination drug. it is more commonly used for diarrhea illness because of the sulfa--particularly for coccidia. bactrim and septra are widely used in children. however they are not recommended in children under the age of 2 mos. need to be very well hydrated--can form crystals in urine. Use in pups only if benefits outweigh risks. Of course I am not a vet--but then I have also had some really terrible experiences with vets and have limited faith in them. colds/pneumonia is NOT one of the conditions mentioned for use of this drug and it has a long list of possible side effects. Again, I recommend investing in "The Pill Book Guide" Gentamicin or gentocin If this is the correct drug--your spelling is wrong) as an abx can only be given as injection or IV. It is used in hospital commonly along with ampicillin. It is used in many topical meds like otomax and eye meds. I suppose it can be used as a nose drop to treat a sinus infection but I don't know why it would be in a young pup. However, again, I am not your vet.

meds for pup

---I have clavamox 62.5, doxycycline 50 mg, keflex, tetracycline, metronizadole and injectible penne ageneous(penne G).----
Regarding the meds ypu have: doxycycline hydrochloride & tetracycline (the doxycycline is a "member" of the tetracycline antibiotics so have the same cautuins & warnings: tetracycline abx cross the placenta and are present in milk. They affect bone and tooth development and their use should be avoided in pregnant animals, lactating animals and young puppies. Metronizadole--an antiprotozoal, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory in the bowel. Used to treat diarrhea specifically giardia. Not for colds/pneumonia. Pen G, clavamox, ampicillin, amoxicillin, amoxi- drops-- all basically penicillins and tolerated by young puppies. I wouldn't give the Pen G requires every 6 hr administration. Clavamox is a combination containing clavulanate potassium and amoxicillin (a potentiated penicillin) dose is 62.5 mg/lb twice a day. I would probably give that--keflex--4.5-14 mg/lb 2-4 times a day is also safe for pups. However--if pup is showing cold symptoms is most likely viral--and abx have no effect. If bacterial it depends on the organisms as to which drug is the better choice. On my adults I almost always use keflex as a first choice. But abx are very overused and organisms are starting to develop resistance. If you do not know what you are giving you probably should not give it. A fantastic and inexpensive reference is The Pill Book Guide to Medications for Your Dog and Cat. Easy to understand and use.
