I know benedryl..not sure of the dosage for a 50 pound bully?
maybe some tweasers..I can see them coming in handy in cases too
anything else that should be added?
I know that nothing substitutes a vet visit in some cases..
but there are things that happen..and can be cured or fixed at home..
lets hear some suggestions..
thanks in advance
Re: Bulldog emergency First aid kits..what to add??.....you neve
benedryl - 50lbs=50mg is what I've always heard and Stella has done good on it.
I also recommend neosporin, cotton balls/swabs, quickstop (great for nails or minor cuts), vet wrap, anti itch cream like hydrocortisone.
thanks for posting..
that is a great list
thanks for the info
in my tack box for traveling -
I keep a range of meds, mostly human but some dog specific including -
Rubbing Alcohol
digital thermometer
Hydrogen Peroxide
Neosporin and EMT gel
Q-tips, cotton balls, gauze wrap
2-3 washcloths, a bath towel, oatmeal or other sensitive skin shampoo, fleece throw
bandaids, tweezers, curved tip suture scissors
Benedryl
Pepto pills
Immodium
Endosorb pills
Rimadyl or Tramadol for pain
small jar of Peanut Butter, to get pills down the dog
several eye meds; Terramycin, NeoPolyBac, Atropine
Rescue Remedy
Nail clippers
small electric clippers
sterile eye flush, ear cleaner, doggy toothpaste and a brush
baby wipes and poop pick-up bags
All this, in addition to the normal run of grooming stuff, goes with me to shows. It seems like a lot, but if you are away from civilization, it is nice to have stuff you need right there with you.
