Cooper just turned 9 months old and was neutered in the end of November. The last few days I have noticed red bumps on his chin. I first thought it was a sore from playing he tends to rub his face on the rug when playing ( My husband thought it may have beeb rug burn). However a few more sores have appeared.(only on his chin) I searched the forum and the acne posts seem to fit the description. He only drinks out of stainless steel bowls and is on Natural Balance sweet potato /chicken.. I realize how important it is to dry him after drinking so my husband and I have started doing that. We live in NY and the current temp is 18 degrees ( I am not sure if that is also a factor). He likes to play in the snow face first. Ha Ha I am hoping to add a photo and I appreciate any advice. I have been appling gold bond medicated powder to see if that helps. Thanks for your advice

Oops...should say "Stridex" medicated pads.
They're at your local pharmacy or pharmacy section of the grocery.
I have found its best to try to 'dry these up' by using
Sridex or Oxydex medicated pads. Some use brown-label Listerine, which contains a good percentage of alcohol but these human acne pads are good, they are sterile (one pad per application) and it may take 1-2 weeks to see them dry up...and remember that he is in his own doggie 'teenage period' and they can come back over a few months, just continue to use the medicated pads as necessary. Oh yes, and don't "pop" these blood blisters open because an open area is much more apt to infect.
liquid bandaid
I have had the same problem with one of my girls. I got liquid bandaid and allied it to her chin and it has been great. Problem is clearing up nicely.
