Brilliant cure for wrinkle problems

We have a 5 year old female English bulldog who had persistent problems with her face wrinkles, like most bulldogs I guess. We have tried evey cure that is marketed for this - vaseline, hydrogen peroxide, milk of magnesia, tearstain wipes - you name it we tried it, and none of it worked much, or for long.

A month ago we randomly tried Sudocrem, an antisceptic healing cream using a zinc oxide ingredient that is usually used for nappy rash and eczema in humans. The results have been incredible - Bumbog now has no itching, no tearstains and no soreness, at all.

We apply the cream using cotton balls, about once every two weeks, but more frequently at the beginning - twice a day for the first two days. Her face is completely healthy now, and she is a much happier little dog.

I did an Internet search and so far....

I've only been able to find it for sale in Canada and the UK, but I'm still hoping someone will post a source for buying it here in the US. Keep your fingers crossed!

Re: Used it for years

hey Lynn, we live in the UK, and amazingly have never had it suggested to us by numerous London-based vets, nor by any of the online owners' groups we've talked to...incredible if you say you know lots of people over here use it. Only reason we posted here was because we hadn't been told about it, and the results were so dramatic!

Next "common sense" cures being sought are for BB's breathing. Might see if Olbas Oil on her blanket helps...

Can we get this in the US?

Sadly

No, but it does prevent further staining so its only a matter of time before the stain starts to grow back normal.

Hi

I was first told about it by a breeder I met while at a show about 8 years ago and have used it ever since, I used to use a cream caled morhulin which is also from the chemist, but it is very thick and gooey and smells quite strongly. It did the job but I got fed up of wiping round the furniture because he used to try his hardest to wipe it all off !!!

As for the olbas oil I wouldn't put it on the actual blanket your bully sleeps on just in case it gets near the eyes etc, maybe on a cloth near the bed, also I seem to remember that vicks do a sort of air disperser unit, bit like a glade plug in ? maybe ask at the chemist ?

My bulldog is from the Iceglint kennel, she is called Marsha and is 2. My first bully was called Oscar and he was from the Dawnstar line, he was 10 when we lost him.

Used it for years

and you're right it is excellent, most of the bulldogs in the UK have "sudocrem" used on them, I use it on the underside of Marshas tail as well when it gets sore.

I can't wait to try this!

...I have seen it on the shelves of a grocery store here in Canada. It sounds great. I like their motto : Happy Bums Make Happy Mums!
Thanks
Debbie

where do you get this stuff?

Where can I find all these brilliant products. I'm a first time bulldog owner and my vet is not much help in this area.
