Bean is back from the vet..dx: Gastroenteritis

He did a liver/kidney panel and a lymes test all ok. I guess we have alot of lymes disease in our area. He doesn't think that it is a bowel obstruction-tummy not hard or gassy and she has poo'ed. Her electrolytes were alittle off, but understandable with the vomiting. He gave her 2 antibiotics and wanted me to change her food for now, but I will just keep trying to get her to eat hamb/rice combo. He wants to see her in a couple of days if she is not improving. she is drinking-just no appetite now. So I guess I will just keep on with the pedialyte, meds and bits of food.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and advice today. It is so nice to know that you all are here when we need that..

oh and her lungs sounded clear too!!

what caused the gastro...?

Did the dr. say what caused it? the change of food? or too much human food? what exactly is it? thanks!I am so glad to hear that it wasn't something major!

no, but if she doesn't improve that will be next..

hope Bean is feeling better soon,

I had a girl do this at 1.5 years, she wasn't bloated, ate her food but kept puking for the day.... then puked up a stuffed toy that looked mummified! did they do x rays or a barium? Hope she's feeling better soon!

I hope she gets her appetite soon!

that is such a precious picture of her happy.gif

Poor Bean!!!

Upset tummies are no fun especially for a cutie like her! Sorry she is having problems but from the sounds of it, it was good that you got her to the vet!

Best of luck and tons of kisses for Beanie!
