Help, I have a bitch 43 days into pregnancy. She has urinary tract infection that is sensitive to only a few things, most of which cannot be used during pregnancy. Vet wants to put her on Baytril, I have looked it up and says safe during pregnancy. Anyone have any experience with this? I have a real fear of Baytril from all the stories I've heard. I know stories are puppies already born, but still a fear. Vet says she needs to be on something to get rid of this particular infection as could lead to pyometria. She is presently on Cephalexin with some results but culture and sensitivity say not right one.
