with excersise and letting the pup do a little crawling to the mom at feeding time they have started to turn. It's amazing. Thanks for the encouragement.

that causes the feet to turn, and as long as the bones are 'normal' they will turn, aided by some gentle exercise and positioning the standing pup. Not that much different than 'hobbling' a fat pup to aid his back legs in learning to stand/walk well.

my understanding is that with large litters (or small bitches) the horns are crowded and the feet turn just to fit in there. I had a litter of 4 with a small bitch and one pup had a backwards foot - it fixed itself in a week or so.

i can't believe a breeder would do that to puppies!how could they become a judge, wouldn't something like that automatically disqualify them or put them in jail? is that legal?
I have heard rumors about supposedly too much inbreeding with bullys and bullys coming out with backward legs.... i never new that this was real but fixable.. very interesting, good luck! I would take any imperfect dog just as long as he isnt suffering. good luck with your babies again!

No worries on that ever happening. Before I even bred her I had made that decision that if any pups were not going to be normal they are pups I was willing to keep. Thanks for the info though. Javier

They will turn as the pups begin to stand and 'push' and you can help them exercise those muscles/tendons by laying a pup on your lap and let him/her push against your hand, to strengthen the paw and leg in the right direction...gently for about 3-5 minutes a few times a day. And I agree about 'standing them' up straight when they are in front of a food dish...this is good to do with all the puppies. Don't give up...they will be good very soon.

....I can't even explain how all this help and information means to me. Now if I can just figure out how to load these pics (it keeps saying they're too large) I can share in the joy with all of you.

They will turn around. Usually within the first few weeks. (I've seen a few so severe I thought they would not turn around but they always have and are normal as adults.) In a big litter like yours its fairly common to have a couple backwards.

I concur...it seems to be the "crowding" while in uterus
that causes the feet to turn, and as long as the bones are 'normal' they will turn, aided by some gentle exercise and positioning the standing pup. Not that much different than 'hobbling' a fat pup to aid his back legs in learning to stand/walk well.
It's not due to inbreeding

Don't let anyone tell you to put these pups down!!!

That is the right mindset, and very good
i know a breeder who is now a judge who put a whole litter down because they had turned feet.

they will turn, when they are eating put thier feet
under them and pads down. also keep them very lumpy surfaces and they will be fine
