as a groomer myself...i have a large very large bulldog client list.... do not go to a groomer who has you drop off your dog at 7am and a pick up at 6pm.....their more than likely being caged dryed... find a groomer who does by appt...i do by appt and no one stays in my salon for more than 2 hrs....its pretty much start to finish.... this is important for bulldogs.... ask your groomer how many bulls she has done.... dont be afride to ask questions...ask to visit the salon...then show up early....if a groomer wont let you tour the place then leave....their hiding something....my place is no palace but i let people look around.... most of my groomers roam the grooming shop as i am a start to finsh person.... or they wait in a x pen inside the shop..... check to see if other cliebts have water and what their policy is about watering and a bit of food... ask questions......

NEVER use a cage dryer on a bulldog! After bathing they should be towel-dried or air-dried (blower) and then allowed to complete their drying in a comfortable-temperature room/kennel. Cage dryers can easily overheat a bulldog causing heat stroke or worse.
Talk with your groomer about toenail trimming. Most are willing to go slow with a youngster, taking small trimmings on a regular basis (weekly, semi-weekly?) if you are not using a Dremel at home.
Talk with your groomer about your bulldog's tail area. If he/she has a very "tight tail" or "deep pocket" be sure that they are aware of the need to both clean and rinse it well.
IMO six months is not too young to start a good relationship with your groomer.

Be sure your groomer understands what NOT to do...
