distemper.....
diain will stain the teeth brown...also if put on baytril at a early age will stain the teeth.e..
sadly i have seen puppy mill dogs with distemper....
I repeat...dogs need adequate water, which means
access to water all day and especially after eating. If the dog has difficulty holding urine from 10 or 11pm to 6 or 7am, then be sure the dog drinks after his early dinner, and then take away the water at 8pm. A young dog should not have bad breath and should not have stained/darkened teeth. Of course ProPlan is not the best dogfood but if the dog is doing okay otherwise (skin, weight, ears, toes, etc) then I wouldn't attack his diet...and I'm pleased to hear that she's noticing of his breath and teeth abnormality.
oh no he's not been fixed yet.

Re: Has the dog ever had a physical exam by her own vet?
Yes the puppy has been to to vet they recently just got done with his puppy shots. But when we took our bullys for a walk today which we normally don't do I happen to notice his newly adult teeth were badly stained and my 2 yr old bully has nice white teeth. So I commented about it and she I know I just started brushing them had he has bad breath. So I told her there's something not right his teeth should not look like that and I said I'd ask this board. She's feeds pro plan. We are not that close just talk about the bullys occationally but I know she got hers from a pet store so you never know they look like there getting rotton to me.

Has the dog ever had a physical exam by her own vet?
Of course the tetracycline you mentioned can do this. I'm wondering if he was denied adequate water after eating and "what" was he given to chew on...ie, died rawhide chews?? As with any bulldog, we are very careful with anesthesia. Is this dog to be neutered/spayed? If so, that may be the time to do the teeth cleaning as well...but need a vet experienced with bulldogs!!
