5 week old pup blowing snot out her nose
Submitted by thunderstruckbulldog on April 20, 2010 - 11:26pmRunt in litter-started doing it a couple days ago-discharge clear....yesterday milky looking, last night yellowish. She is not wheezing and no temp. Just tries to clear her nostrils fairly regularly. I'm assuming the others may end up with it before it's over with. Started her on .4cc amoxidrops and .25cc mucinex cold. I also have some 62.5 clavamox but hate to try to pill a 3 lb puppy. She's still eating and plays some so I think she is ok for now, just trying to ward off the pneumonia if I can. Any suggestions on what else I can do to make her comfy?

Appreciate it! She seems to be doing ok-just blowing some snot out of her nose. She's running around and playing and such so all seems well. Thanks again!!

I had 2 puppies do this at this same age. They outgrew it. Amoxy should be enough to treat it.
