Mommy has just begun cleaning the puppies 2 days ago, up until then it was my job. Today, I noticed that one pups bottom doesn't look right. It almost looks like it might have been licked too hard and possible has a tear from where the poo was dried between the tail and bottom.

I have since been putting vaseline on their butts after they are cleaned, but I am afraid that mom caused the trauma. The pup isn't incontinent. She's not in pain, but I have a feeling I need to have the vet look at her.

Has anyone experienced this? This is my first litter and I don't want to wake my mentor at 1am over this, since nothing can be done right now.
