How can you tell the difference...Boss is listed as piebald, but he's white w/brown spots...we have a new puppy that is mostly light brown w/white markings...i would think that would be fawn????

I consider Spanky red brindle and white because most of his body is red brindle, but he also has a good deal of white What if a dog has large brindle spots white white and a lot of the brindle spots are so big they connect. Would that be a whatever color brindle and white or would that be considered piebald?

and the dog can be Fawn and White, or Fawn Brindle (which would be the predominenty brown striping) or several combinations.
I've had dogs that were almost all two colors, red & white, fawn & white, red brindle & white or fawn brindle & white. Some few dogs are basically one color: Red, Fawn or White. Some dogs are predominently PIEBALD, which is polka-dotted. Its not uncommon for a solid-colored dog to have a couple small dots of color on his belly or ears, but when choosing a descriptive color for Registration, you should look at the most identifying color(s).

so, a bulldog can be both, doesn't have to be one or the other.

Piebald is Covered with patches of two colors.......
I was told that the color other than white (red, fawn, brindle, etc) has to be encircled by white somewhere on the body.
Piebald red & white:
White with red beindle marking:

Well, what do you think, i'm going with Fawn
since Piebald is "polka dots"
The "light brown, tan or similar shading is called FAWN"
