This is my little guy Buddy, he's 8 months now. Here is a pic of him as a little pup showing his tail. I wonder if his tail is acceptable, as I read the standard, and I still don't understand.

Ward, I just wanted to thank you for taking time to respond about my little guy, Buddy. That pic was in July I think. What I'm saying is, the breeder didn't mention ear gluing and I was a little late getting started. Here is a pic of Buddy today. He's over 40lbs, and napping in the pups carrier. I know nothing but what I read so any suggestion is welcomed. His Brother, [Brother is his call name] has his ears glued now, and has to play through the fence of his x-pen to keep them glued

I'd like to show him and Brother too. I'd like to just see what it is all about, and I know it will improve my dogs, and improve my knowledge of EB's I also have a 10 year old grandaughter that is interested in dogs, and seems a natural in the handling. Here is a pic of the 2 boys.

He will just give ya a hug if we all meet sometime. lol I think he looks good to me anyway, and has no known problems as far as I know,[except for the occasional hug].

Do you want to show her? Many, many bulldogs showing now have tails that are "incorrect" according to the standard, yours included. It does not stop anyone from showing or breeding those tails. Some people work hard to correct those tails through breeding, other people take a different point of view and consider tails completely inconsequential. There are only two, possibly three "unacceptables" in showing a bulldog; a male that does not have two testicles, Dudley coloring and the debateable black coloring.
Thanks Ward
