Hi there,
I have posted a few times about my pup Shelbee.
Maybe I should introduce myself better now so you would know where i'm coming from with my story. I'm originally from Adminzona but now I live with my Husband in Kuwait he is a Contractor for the Military. I bought my first bulldog, Bailey with me who was shipped to the States from Argentina, he is beautiful and healthy. He is adapting very well. I've been here a little over a year.
My love for Bulldogs compelled me to bring home another. There aren't any breeders in Kuwait so I looked into international breeders. I may need to mention that I am not a breeder and i'm spaying/neutering my pups.
I brought Shelbee from a breeder in Russia. Yep huge mistake. I heard they had a bad rep with regards to breeding but I though I had done my homework. She arrived, was pretty healthy aside from cherry eye. Lucky for me the vet here is Italian and he is a Bulldog Breeder back in Italy so he had her eyes fixed and she's perfect now.
Problem now is the breeder will not send her pedigree papers! I have e-mailed her 3 times and not even a reply. I checked her guest book on site and many Americans had posted about the same thing. I e-mailed one person and her dog was sick and she had spent $4000 on vet bills and she's still sick. I complained to RKF but they hadn't replied either. So I finally sent an e-mail to FCI. They forwarded my msg to RKF requesting them to look into it. It has been a week. Nothing.
What can I do? What can FCI do? Its not a matter of Shelbee's Pedigree because I know she probably doesn't have one considering her faults (looks and health) but I need to make poeple aware of that breeder considering most people purchasing their puppies from there are mostly from different States in the US.
I don't know how the system works here, can I post the name of russian website here?
P.S. I am having a third pup but this time from a reputable breeder recommended by my vet and he should be here on Sunday. Excitement!
You need to ask Webbie first
before posting a name i believe. wanted to tell you we also did the same thing, i did contact Checzlovakia--:spelling is wrong, about him, they did look into it he was reg CMKU but also had to fight to get papers, had sarcoptic mange, demodectic mange, luxating patellas, head tremors and half starved. When we bought him it was mostly cause he was so skinny and felt sorry for him wanted to get him out of the situation and it went from bad to worse. He is now doing very well, after nuetering the mange got better. Lots of money in vet bills though. I will try and look through my paperwork for you to see what i did. if you like e=-mail me, make sure you put something in the header though about your bulldog or i will delete it if i dont know who it is. so sorry your going through this.
