So of course I bought it and Mason broke out in hives. I tried the Seborrhea shampoo on him. Mason does have major allergies and breaks out at nothing though. I haven't tried any of their other shampoos since I was scared all of them would break him out.

Malaseb shampoo (antibacterial/antifungal) had 2% of both miconazole=antifungal and chlorhexidine=antibacterial. I looked at the ingredients of the Duoxo Chlorhex Shampoo and it contained 3% chlorhexidine so that would be an improvement, but I didn't recognize an ingredient in that same product that would be antifungal...however they have a variety of products, so on limited review, it would seem to be a worthwhile option.

I asked my vet what they are recommended after the whole Malaseb problem and that is what she told me to get, however, I have not had a need for it. I really just asked for my friends here on BDW.
Is it good for yeast as well as allergic dermatitis?

What is in it?
I bought the Micro-tek and I hate the smell..
smells like car air freshener. Yuck. Junior got two hot spots, but they could have been from Glucosamine chews I gave him.
I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.

My girl broke out in hives too! with the doux. We went back to using Sebolux and Pyoben. She's ok with those.
