Help save a retired K9 from death....please?

5 year old Saxon is a GSD police dog, in Wales, belonging to the father of a friend of mine. Despite Saxon being an excellent and loyal police dog for a number of years, and having saved his owner from injury or death on numourous occasions, the police force has decided not to re-licence him as a police dog.

For no apparent reason, and despite the owner being desperate to keep Saxon as a dearly loved pet, the "powers that be" want him destroyed. In their words, it is the "RESPONSIBLE THING TO DO" !!!!

Please please sign the petition to save Saxon at

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?k9saxon&101

The Daily Mirror is going to run an article about him and he may be appearing on Richard & Judy, but the more electronic signatures we can collect, the better his case will look.

After you've added your support to the petition, you do get a page asking for a donation for the petitions website, but you don't have to donate anything. Just ignore it and hit your back button (but don't hit the submit button again or your entry will get added twice).  Then hit the signatures tab to check that your electronic signature has been added.

Please forward this message to any of your friends you think would sign the petition to help Saxon.

OMG, he's gorgeous! Signed the petition

Wish he could come here, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Beautiful dog, he deserves to live his life out retired and sleeping on the couch if he wants.
