they got better about the rain as they got older

I do remember years ago when Zimmer was a puppy it was raining so hard he refused to go out. I set newspapers down in the kitchen & he pooped on them. He still won't go out in the rain!

Gosh, these guys are so funny! Dogs do this, but so do horses!

A friend of mine just had a foal born on Valentines day. Sadly it didn't survive, but the mare mare in the next stall, who had been bred but it didn't take, well that mare all of a sudden started rooting and bedding in her stall, then her milk bags actually started to fill up! Just the sounds and smells of that new foal while it was alive made the other mare go into a false pregnancy. It took a couple of days, but it was a surprise to her owner to find half full milk bags on the mare who didn't even get pregnant, much less have the baby!

I would bet she was quite annoyed that it was raining so much and she couldn't take care of "business" in her normal way and thought well, I'll go back in and wait a few minutes, then try it again, and again, and again and maybe the rain will stop.

Well wouldn't you know it the poor thing just couldn't wait any longer and decided at least it was dry and warm in the house so she'd just settle this here and now!

Maverick did this as a pup after his first snowfall... couldn't figure out how to poop on the snow vs. the grass!

Are you "making a stand", demanding that mummy come outside with you to shelter you with an umbrella so you can do your business outside? I think you made a very strong case for the umbrella thing by pooping in the house.
