She laid on her back while two vets both looked at every single organ that cancer of the spleen could have metastacized to, liver, adrenals, etc. Nothing remarkable and all looked "normal". Music to my ears after Raven's xrays and U/S's were always worse each time.
But, that leaves us with no answer. So, we are doing another CBC, bloodwork result tomorrow. Hoping that maybe her RBC's will be up and that maybe it was just a pain related/depression thing to do with her jaw pain/Raven/etc...
So, more poking and prodding and she was a champ. So, I got her a $20 Doggy Step at Target. Although I fear she will just jump off the couch and go around it. Right now, I have wood blocks the length of the couch. But her spinal/neck arthritis is so bad that even those are a big step. So this is more gradual, if she'll use it. I can't buy her 3 of them to run the whole length of the couch...
Trying them out the first time. And NO, that was not a WOOPY CUSHION she sat on...if you get what I mean...Phew! Have your sound turned up. She's such an old lady.

The only thing that worked...
Before I got these steps, I put wooden blocks that I had in the shop and ran them along the entire length of the couch, so that she couldn't go around them. As she jumps off, she has to go over them and they are too big to jump, so it forced her to use them. Then they became a habit and she uses them as a step. Bummer is, if I remove some and leave only one, or with this little stair step I bought, she goes around it and jumps off. Like, "get this dang thing out of my way". So, the only thing that I think will work is to run them the length of the couch. Her shoulders give her trouble and I don't want her to end up crippled. So, I may just have to bust out the $ and go get two more stair steps, thankfully they are only $20 each at Target, cheapest I've found.
Good luck with Stella!

Hi.
We are trying to get Stella into the same habit with not jumping up and down off furniture, we have a step for her for the couch, but she refuses to use it.
I have gotten her into the habit of letting me lift her out of the car, which is a really far jump, but she still jumps off the bed.
Let me know if you figure out the magic formula.

You were right
a while back when you said that Betty would make me smile again with her bullie antics. I didn't think she could, but you were right.

I heard that Miss Betty... LOL!
She caught on to the steps quick! Good girl.
What a cutie!
that is wonderful news Dawn
she is looking beautiful,
Ha! I love the big finish!
Nice job Betty! Stella has the exact same ones. I wasn't sure she'd use them either but she took to them right away and always used them, except in cases of uncontrollable excitement.
Well....
Hopefully it's just a leftover spasm of the sphincter and that will be THE END of the gall bladder issues! (Or, so I'm hoping!)
Wiggle butt/body rottie love - nothin' quite like it! I had Kano in for some aquatherapy and physical therapy last week. She kept licking the vet's face during the massage and passive range of motion exercises. Nasty vicious rottweiler - HAH! lol

Ha ha! What an "end" to the end!!
So glad she came out clear in the US. How did you do in yours?
Amy and Sophia
Mine was sort of the same...
Radiologist said she didn't see any gall stones, but the report won't get to the doctor until Friday or Monday to decide what was causing me such pain. He said last week that if it went away, I could have passed it. But that there would probably be more, and there weren't. So, another mystery! Just glad to not be in pain and my flu is over the hump too.
Also, I got me some rottweiler love at the vet today. Two were there for checkups and I got to love on them in the lobby. Good for the soul.
Thank you for asking.
