was put on some meds after testing postitive for lyme disease, I was kind of hoping that maybe her Arthritis was a mis- diagnosis when I noticed she wasn't limping as much and seemed to be so much better while taking the pills for the lyme disease, once we stopped the Antibiotics her limping came back and has been real bad in one of her back legs .. any thoughts.. I trust most of you more than my vet sometimes..
thanks
Hope everyone has a great day

Like minds..
can't wait to see if it helps you and Hooch. I know most sites said it takes at least two weeks to see any change.

Have you been following the discussion on here about Cetyl M?
I know Michelle (and Hooch) are trying it. I intend to order some, but I haven't decided which brand to try. The price for the pills ranges from $18 to over $60 and the ingredient list varies as much as the price.
You have to do some research. I compared a couple of brands in a post a few days ago. Here is the original manufacturer's website. After reading more about it on other sites, I probably won't buy from this site because others sell it for less.

If she stopped limping while on antibiotics, I would think it's the infection and not arthritis that is causing the limp. I'd probably try another month of antibiotics.

I've heard of this because I have psoriatic arthritis...here is

My guess is that she's not over the Lyme disease
Lyme is very painful and it affects the joints like arthritis. It's very important to get the right kind of ab's also. I would try more ab's to make sure the Lyme's is gone.
Thanks for the article kim, she has been on glucomanine since au
Adequan injections.. she has good and bad days but recently her back leg has been bad..
Hope everyone has a great day
yes she was on them for atleast a month..I just thought it was s
seemed better while on them and is now back..
Hope everyone has a great day
Re: Advice, please. Does anyone think that Antibiotics can help
I hope this article help's you and can possibly open your eye's to a alternative approach other than antibiotics, If she doesn't need them for an infection then refrain from using them.

Has she ever been on Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM complex, Vitamin C, Bromelain w/Curcumin. ?
Remember it takes 30-60 day's for it to get in the system and begin helping, It's not overnight.
If her arthritis is really bad, The vet may suggest Adequan injections.
IMO, I would try the natural approach first.
Best of Luck to your baby.
How long was she on the antibiotics?
When Tillie had Lyme, she was on them for about a month. I know that her muscles really ached from the Lyme. Maybe she needs another course of antibiotics?
I have no idea, just hoping your pretty girl feels better soon
