Need some help w/histiocytoma on Burnice's chin….
Submitted by Pam Grady Burnice on May 27, 2014 - 11:32pmHey all... haven't posted on here in a while and hope everyone is doing great!! I have a question... Burnice has a big ole lump on her chin. The vet thinks it's a histiocytoma and I'm putting Mometamax on it, but it's not helping a whole lot to reduce it. Just wondering anyone has had any luck with any other steriod creams or whatever? I think I need to be careful because it's by her mouth and I'm wanting to try something else before I consider getting it removed. Thanks and bully kisses from Burnice!!!
Gus had one of these a few years ago.
His was in just about the same spot, too. We talked with his breeder and a couple of other bullie people and they recommended applying brown Listerine to the spot a couple of times a day. It took about 10 days for it to go away.

I'll have to try it, but did it sting Gus? Burnice hates when I put the Mometomax on, she's such a baby. Thanks for the reply!!
It didn't seem to bother him
He is pretty laid back and tolerates all of my "torturing." I don't remember him acting like it stung -- it wasn't raw in any way so maybe that's why it didn't sting.

I tried it on Burnice and she seems to have less of an aversion than the Mometomax. Hopefully it will help!
