My Bulldog is 3 years old and always gets a yeast smell under his folds, in his ears and by his tear spots it's like goowie and wet... My doctor gave me Domeboro powder packets to add with a 1 liter bottle of warm water it actually smells like vinger but it don't seem to do the the trick and for cleaning the yeast out of his ears he gave me a solution to do 2 drops and massage it into the ear canal.. If anyone knows of a better SOLUTION I would love to hear about it.. Thank You,
Darrin

If he wont lick it .....
YOu can rub a little Panalog or Otomax in the folds. It instantly takes the yeast smell away !

well I personally
would stop the Domeboro solution also known as Burrows Solution. This does have antiinfective properties, antipruritic, and aneseptic properties...BUT becasue you are likely applying it as a wash your only keep the face moist. Moisture and heat (inside folds and ears where it is warm) creat a perfect environment for fungus to live.
So I personally would give Maleseb spray a try, which can be ordered online from Amazon. It also comes in medicated wipes, shampoo etc..all works the same. If using shampoo form, wet cloth and rub into face but avoid getting into eyes, leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinse really well. When done make sure you dry the dogs well too. I often use a blow dryer to make sure the dogs are DRY! The spray can be sprayed on the area with a papertowel or cotton ball onto the face, again avoid getting into the eyyes. The wipes areare just that, wipes. They also sell an ear solution too!
clean and dry will prevent yeast from growing..once the yeast is on its way out, then you can use Desitin in the fold to help keep moisture out. Some poeople here use Gold Bond Powder applied with a makeup brush as well.
As for the ears- not sure what they gave you but Ottomax is a good one to ask for for minor fungal issues in the ears and nose ropes, same with Animax, Panalog..etc. I also love this prodcut and its one of my favorite ear cleaners- and antiinfectives!

Hope this all helps..I hate yeast..another thing to look into is as to why the dogs face is retaining so much moisture in the folds--is heexcessivly tearing? if so why? entropian, distichias, ulcers? or just environmental - ie allergies or foods..
