If you found out a dog had skin issues as a puppy that were tied in with food and environmental allergies, a prolapse that has not been corrected and dry eyes would you breed this dog or get him fixed?

I would consider when choosing to breed or not breed with a certain dog. The one dog I purchased who was allergic to grass among other environmental reactions was the one I returned to the breeder at 5mos old...couldn't get him completely comfortable or healthy in my household...yet he did wonderfully well at her kennel (hardpack dirt/concrete, few trees around).

I agree...allergies, lots of them, are the worst "fault" that

I would not have a problem breeding with
the prolapse, but would not breed a dog with known allergies. They suffer so much, why pass this on to someone else.
Dry eye would depend on how old the dog was with dry eye, if it was a senior dog i would not have a problem with that.

Re: Would you breed with this dog
Please get him fixed. If the puppies have the same issues you'll feel horrible.

I would have him neutered.
I wouldn't want a puppy from that boy knowing all the issues:-)
