Mare is doing better. She will be okay in a month or so and on to more injuries I am sure. If there is blood in the barnyard, I always check her first. Seems she is the worst accident prone girl in the bunch!

Do you use heartworm preventative monthly? In CA we have it yearround, so don't have to deal with worms. But the big cats here have fecal tests every 6 months, and are not on heartgard, so they test positive for roundworm periodically and we treat them. THe round worms live in the dirt I think...

are round which you seem to have.....and tapeworm looks like flecks of rice in the stool....you can see whip but only if their is a heavy infestation...you should be worming twice....then checking a thrid stool 3 months after all worming is done.....remember dogs get the eggs on their feet lick their paws and injest the eggs....thus reinfected..... also remember people can get it the same way bare foot in the park or out in the yard...kids by putting their hands in their mouth......i would either lime which is safe and wont kill your grass...or bleach which will kill your grass.....

That is roundworm
It can return again if ingested, also if it was never completely killed off in prior treatments.
Best wishes.
