I don't post much anymore due to time constraints. The two years I had off raising human babies allowed much more time for the boards I peek here when I have a chance and will add anything that I think is relevant. For the most part the " regulars" here cover most bases. The voice I miss most is that of Helen. I know now and again she will post a tidbit...there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained from pure experience...and Helen has a TON of that.

Since my post has been called into question or has at least been referenced...let me clarify what I was trying to communicate. I NEVER said they shouldn't post here and it was never my intention to convey such a thought. Internet boards can be hugely beneficial but they can also toss out all kinds of contraindicated and potentially harmful information. It is my own personal belief that when anyone purchases a puppy of any breed that they are in fact paying for the knowledge and experience of the puppys breeder and not the warm body. At least in a dream world that is how it should be. I see posts often, where I wonder where in the heck the breeder is that should be guiding new owners through basic stuff. That being said, I was merely trying to point out that Tracy and Dean are not in that scenario. They DO have knowledgeable people around them that they should utilize more...that's it. If anyone took offense to my post, I do apologize, as it was certainly not my intent. Breeders are often torn down or labeled as uncaring or indifferent. My point was that we are not all from the same apple barrel. I hope Tracy and Dean do post an update so that all of the wonderful people that are concerned have some peace of mind.

Breeders are a great resource and should be consulted but, this board is a great place for ideas, opinions and treatments.

Sometimes we may overlook the need to repeat that for newbies but I, for one, want to say it often and loudly. Any serious request for help, sharing and affirmation should and does find some great support here. We don't all have the answers, sometimes its just 'support' that the writer is seeking, but we do care and we do respond. Otto is foremost in our focus. If I sometimes chastize an owner for action or inaction its only because I care so much about these little bullies that I go right to the problem and may seem too direct...remember everyone, I LIKE you but I LOVE your bulldog!!!
