Pleasde help with Jackson

head tremors.  He started having these about two days ago.  He has been on rimydyl since his surgery.  He also had to have his food cut back since he is crated so much.  he was having a cup twice a day, now he is having about 3/4/ c twice a day.  I gave him 2 teasoons of corn syru and they stopped.  Now what do I do.  /have him tested for low blood sugar?

Re:

See my posts just a little bit below on Wooly Bully, who had head tremors on Sunday and Monday. (There's also an update on page 2 of the general forum.) You might want to talk to Cathy Kittle, who is very interested in this question and who believe that the problems start with anesthesia. So far as I can tell, this is an annoying issue but not serious. Good luck.

Chester had a reaction to Rimadyl...

that was very similar, he was fixated and flybiting. We took him off the rimadyl and it never happened again. Rimadyl can cause seizures among it's side effects. It's great for some dogs, but others can have bad reactions. I would take him off that first and see what happens.

Thanks Michael

I did read the info on the front page today, and brought him back to the vet who did the surgery.  He did bloodwork which all came back normal.  He has been great all day.  I just gave him two teaspoons of corn syrup to see if he won't have them tomorrow morning.

I would either feed him like you used to

Or feed him the way you are now but give him a few treats between meals. Poor Jackson.

It could be that you've cut his food down... so maybe

give him some yogurt or ice cream before bedtime....just my 2 cents...
